Summer School Faculty


The JGSS faculty members are selected across all schools of O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) and other reputed universities in India, and in collaboration with top notch faculty members from some of the leading universities of the world such as Harvard, Yale, Columbia, MIT, Michigan, Cornell, UC- Berkeley, Oxford and Cambridge. They are practitioners across different disciplines and backgrounds. All faculty members have outstanding educational qualifications, global orientation, stellar publication record, and relevant work experience.

At JGU, nearly 75% faculty members have international qualifications from the leading universities of the world. Almost 20% of the full time faculty members are international, coming from countries and regions such as Afghanistan, Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

Aspire India Ambassadors

The Aspire India Ambassadors are young achievers from different professional fields – media and communications, creative writing, publishing, law, business, social entrepreneurship, architecture, banking, public diplomacy and international relations. These youth achievers will address the summer school students to share their challenges of transition from high school to higher education. Students will learn about their failures,which eventually became pillars of their success.The aim is to provide scholars with an opportunity to interact with role models who are closer to their age group and who have been through these crucial phase of transition from high school to higher education,not too long ago.

The JGSS will have a number of such young achievers as Aspire India Ambassadors to speak and interact with scholars as guest speakers.

Student Mentors


The Student Mentors are some of the JGU’s finest students, carefully chosen from all the schools of JGU, after a rigorous selection process. These Student Mentors will assist the Aspire India Scholars to have a meaningful experience during their stay at JGU campus. They will make sure that the scholars accomplish the real objective behind the summer school. They have been trained to take care of and to work with the high school students.

The aim is to provide scholars an opportunity to interact with the JGU students and to learn about the mentor’s experience and campus life. The Student Mentors will be closely engaged with the scholars for the entire duration of the programme that includes lectures, workshop, Aspire India Ambassadors talk series, sports and cultural activities.
